(If you have trouble extracting the .zip, please use 7-Zip.)

- 20 High-poly FBX & OBJ meshes with threads parented to the buttons. (4 & 5-hole buttons have multiple thread pattern options.) The highest-poly button (5-hole convex with all threads) has just under 100k tris.

- 20 threadless high-poly STL models scaled to about 1 inch for printing.

- 7 midpoly FBX & OBJ base models (under 300 tris each) with 28 texture sets of normals, opacity maps, and diffuse masks. Some can be mixed and matched for appearances beyond what is in the high poly set.

- 40 512x512 transparent PNG Normal decals for use in Substance Painter & other 3d texturing programs that can do image projection.

- 40 low-poly texture sets to apply on a square plane for illusion of depth and detail with maximum resource-efficiency.

NOTES:

- The textures are OpenGL format normals, black & white diffuse masks, and black & white opacity masks.

- Future kits I make of similar assets will maintain the same UV layouts so that textures are interchangeable.

- The models are all in original, easily edited quad/ngon format. You will need to triangulate them in a 3d modeling program before use in some programs or games. There are also files with them all in one collection so you can see them at a glance: it is recommended to import this in its own separate collection or folder in your project to copy and pick out buttons from.

- 1k or lower textures have been used on the low & mid-poly sets since these are small objects and designed for efficiency. In many cases you will want to reduce them even further. If you are making a scene/game where the buttons are large environment objects or shown very close-up, it is better to use the high poly models for detail. The mid & low-poly textures will look somewhat pixelated on the edges when zoomed in very close.

- I cannot provide tech support for 3d printing and results may vary based on your printer, settings, and slicing. You may need to adjust sizing and placement of the models.

Textures included for quick XIV Textools projects:

Create your model with the mid-poly buttons or square planes for the low-poly textures. Give the button parts their own character/characterlegacy shader material, enable translucency in its shader flags, and use the 'diffuse mask' (_d textures) as your ID map. This will assign colorset row 1A to the button, and 16A to the thread. Use the _xivn textures as your normal map instead of the _n files.

For further support, please refer to an appropriate help forum or the Textools help forums and documentation.
